The Dawn of a New Era

The Dawn of a New Era

After a tumultuous and emotional season, marked by challenges and opportunities, the semi-pro team of Saint-Laurent SC is ready to fight until the end. Currently in second place in the standings with 22 points, the team is determined to close the gap with FC Laval, the leader with 29 points, and finish the season strong with 7 games left to play.

The season has been particularly difficult with the loss of four talented players to the professional world, forcing the team to reorganize its squad. Mateo, the general manager, remains optimistic about the club’s future: “We have built a quality team for the 2024 season to dominate the league. Yes, we lost some key players, but we have a high-quality squad and staff. We have no excuses; we will play our football until the end.”

Continuous Hard Work

Nicholas Razzaghi, head coach of the first team, has played a crucial role in this reorganization and has successfully motivated his players to strive for excellence. “I want to highlight our collective and individual achievements. In the end, the project has had historic success. Now, we are moving forward with the aim of recreating success with the next group and the next generation. We want to maintain our concepts and play inspiring football while evolving over time,” he said in a recent interview.

An Inspired Captain

Wesley Wandje, the team captain, also shares his enthusiasm for the new direction the team is taking. “With 7 games remaining, each match is an opportunity to show our resilience and determination. We have learned from our mistakes and are more united than ever. We savor this last victory. We will continue to work hard, fight for every ball, and aim for victory in every game,” he shared.

Looking to the Future

Despite the difficulties faced this season, the team’s spirit and the determination of its players and staff remain unwavering. The club is not only focused on finishing the current season strongly but is also carefully preparing for the upcoming seasons. “We have a clear vision of what we want to achieve. Youth will play a significant role in our team, and we will continue to strive to be the best,” added General Manager Mateo Cabanettes.

As CS Saint-Laurent prepares to face the final matches of the season, supporters can rest assured that their team will do everything possible to finish on a high note. With rigorous preparation and a fighting spirit, the club is ready to tackle all challenges and aim for the top.
